Nutrition for your cells...

Healthy Eating...It's all about choice!
- Make vegetables a major part of at least one meal each day, and eat plenty of fruits especially before your meal, not after.
- Choose wholegrain breads more often instead of the refined white varieties.
- Eat more cereals (rice, pasta & other grains) and legumes (peas & beans). If you are making western dish for your family, try flavouring it with small amounts of lean meat, rather than centering the whole meal around meat.
- Use small amounts of very lean meats, and eat poultry without skin. The breast part of poultry has the least fat.
- Choose low-fat dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese).
- Eat fish at least twice a week, but don't fry it. The Chinese preparation of steamed fish is the healthiest. Baked and grilled fish are also good.
- Make high-fat and/or high sugary bakery products (danish, doughnuts, etc), fast-foods, desserts, soft drinks and confectionary occasional treats rather than everyday food. A rich dessert doesn't need to be served everyday!
- Use monounsaturated or polyunsaturated oils (olive, canola, sunfalower, safflower) for cooking.
- Use small amount of margerine spreads or olive oil instead of butter.
- Grill, boil, steam, bake or microwave rather than fry.
- Reduce your salt & sugar intake.
- Drink plenty of water...(body weight x 0.07 = daily water intake). Make it a habit to drink at least 2 liters of water daily to help your body flush out the toxins & helps burn the fat much faster.

Antioxidants - Your Anti-Aging Ally & Arsenal Against Free Radicals

Anti-aging from the inside
There are a multitude of products targeted to maintain that youthful glow, but why not start the anti-aging process from within? Free radicals, which are unstable molecules, can wreak havoc on the body, causing serious problems like osteoporosis, cancer and heart disease. As we age, we become more prone to the damaging effects of free radicals.
Antioxidants, found in several types of foods and nutrients, can combat the negative effects of free radicals. Thus, it is recommended that you increase your daily intake of:
· Fruits and vegetables – rich in antioxidants
· Fatty fish – high in omega-3
· Whole grains – soluble fibres reduce cholesterol levels
· Nuts – maintain skin’s structural integrity
· Yoghurt – increases good bacteria in the gut
· Water – for hydration
Wow... all that to be taken daily? How is that possible? We are busy people, sometimes we don’t have the time.
So, how can we ensure the intake of optimum nutrients daily for us to combat free radicals?
There is a way and it’ll not just ensure that you get your daily nutrients that your body needs to combat free radicals, but it’ll help you stay healthy, gives your energy and keeps you in good shape. All it takes is just 1 Herbalife F1 nutritious Cellular Nutrition shake (rich in 55 nutrients, 18 amino acids, herbs & fibers) & at least 2 liters of Herbalife TeaMix (rich in antioxidants) a day to stay healthy and on top of your game!

No compromise...
Hi...
I'm amazed! Nobody in their right mind would compromise on their meal's nutritional value. Yet, we see many people just don't care about what they eat (whether it's nutritious or not) and what nonsense (toxins - nicotin, pesticides; fats; drugs - medicines & pain killers etc) they put into their bodies. When they gain or drastically lose lots of weight OR start showing signs of sickness or illness, they would pay lots of MONEY or thousands of RINGGIT to seek medical help or maybe pay up a slimming centre to help them get into shape! But, still they put in or gorge in nonsense (food that has no nutritional value what-so-ever...fast foods, junk foods, fats, sugars etc) into themselves just to fill their empty stomachs. And the cycle continues.
What baffles me is that why don't we/you/they take the extra effort to keep ourselves healthy with good, balanced & healthy nutrition in the first place? Isn't being healthy from the inside is as important as being healthy on the outside? Wouldn't it show on the outside if you are healthy on the inside?
Think about this...which do you prefer...Wellness or Illness?
If you think WELLNESS is expensive, TRY ILLNESS!
Cheers,

No worries...
Cambodia is a great place for bargains especially silks and precious stones like rubies, sapphires & more. It's also a great place to shop for cheap clothes. When in Cambodia & seeing how the people have suffered during the Khmer Rouge regime really makes me appreciate the peace & harmony that we have in Malaysia.
I came here to Cambodia for a CamTESOL 2010 Conference with my friend and she was worried about food, especially HALAL food. Yes, it's not easy to find HALAL food here unless you know of any Muslim locals who can show you some HALAL restaurants. So, my friend brought along with her a lot of instant stuffs from Malaysia (like instant noodles, biscuits, instant 3 in 1 beverages etc...) to keep her stomach fulfilled. Not very healthy food. Just sugars & fats.
As for me, I was NOT at all that worried about food. Not because I am more adventurous and can eat anything, BUT because I have the HERBALIFE F1 Shakes, HERBALIFE F3 Soy & Whey Protein and HERBALIFE Tea Mix which I know can sustain me & my hunger. It doesn't just keep me hunger free, BUT it's also HEALTHY (I didn't fall sick at all & am also not worried about the germs & dust here) and gives me ENERGY (to go around Phnom Penh & outside the city to visit various historical places & sites... and also shopping!). On top of that, the antioxidant in the tea mix ensures that I'm protected from whatever FREE RADICALS that are out there. I also didn't have to worry about not eating enough fruits & vegetables to help my digestive system because the HERBALIFE F1 shakes have all the nutrients, herbs & FIBERS that I need.
My friend wonders where I got all these energy to keep me going while she's flat out by the time we returned to the hotel at the end of the day. I bring with me the HERBALIFE 1 liter bottle and filled it with the tea mix & take it wherever I go. That's where I got my energy! Unbelievable!!! I don't have to worry about my food when travelling to other countries anymore. It's so easy, simple & very convenient. Thank you HERBALIFE! :)

Sad, but TRUE!
Hi...
Notice these scenarios of our world today...
- 70% of premature deaths are due to:
- HEART DISEASE
- CANCER
- STROKE
- DIABETES
- 50% of those deaths are diet related or due to poor nutrition
- 70% of ALL Doctor's visits are diet related or related to poor nutrition
These statistics are taken from WHO Report 2006. I'm sure the figures have changed since then. For the better or for the worse? Asks yourself ...
- Is my health getting better everyday or otherwise?
- Calculate how many visits to the doctor's that you made in the last 3 months?
- Calculate how much you spent on doctor's visit & medicine in the last 3 months?
- Am I taking food which is healthy and nutritious everyday?
- Am I taking 7 portions of fruits & vegetables as recommended by health professionals everyday?
- Am I taking balanced nutrition daily?
- Am I drinking enough water daily? Calculate your daily water intake (weight in kgs x 0.07 = daily water intake in liters). Eg: 50kg x 0.07 = 3.5 liters
- Do I exercise regularly (3 x per/week of light brisk walking etc)?
- Am I taking healthy & nutritious breakfast to start the day?
- How is my weight like in the last 3 months? Increase? Reduced? Maintained?
If you've answered 'NO' to most of the questions above, then you seriously need to do something about your health. If you think taking care of your health & wellness is expensive, try illness... maybe it's cheaper for you to be ill or sick then be healthy.
There are 3 basic things (3 pillars) of good health & wellness that you can do to stay healthy.
1. WATER - drink lots of water - not juice, coffee, tea or fizzy drink. Calculate how much water your body needs daily to function well... then make sure you drink that much everyday. Water is FREE & cheap.
2. EXERCISE - exercise regularly. You don't have to do strenous exercise, something light and simple to get your blood circulation going like brisk walking, running up & down the stairs, push ups or sit ups, cycling etc. You don't have to pay lots of money for a gym membership... lots of FREE & simple exercise that you can do at home... sweep the floor, mop the floor wash the bathroom...etc.
3. GOOD NUTRITION - spend a bit more here to ensure good, healthy & balanced nutrition because whatever you eat will either become your muscle or extra fat in your body. If you choose food that is fattening (too much fat, oil, sugar, salt etc) then your body will absorb that and store it as extra fat. If this happens 3 times a day for 30 days a month for a whole year... no wonder you've put on weight. BUT... if you choose to eat food which is high in nutritional value, balanced, high fiber & low calorie... then your body will absorb the good things and you'll be healthy and not put on weight.
So... 3 things that u need to be healthy... 2 of them are FREE and only 1 that you need to spend wisely on. Isn't that a good deal?
I'll let you ponder on that thought for a while. Check out this link...
